LEGO Dimensions Wave 9 Review

LEGO Dimensions is available now on Wii U, PlayStation 3, 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One and PC and is developed by TT Games. Wave 9 is also available now.

LEGO Dimensions Wave 9

LEGO Dimensions Wave 9 features The Powerpuff Girls, Beetlejuice and Teen Titans but are they any good? As always yes, the LEGO Dimensions always delivers a content-rich experience with each pack they release and none of these is any different. If anything the Beetlejuice pack has to be in my top 3 LEGO Dimension waves. The way the hub world perfectly picks up some of the key¬†bits in the film is just fantastic, props to TT Games for adding that and adding movie themes that many wouldn’t have, the cult classics have always been my favourite releases in the Dimensions series. Beetlejuice at first places you on the planet of Saturn with the famous sandworms roaming around, you also have the ability to go to the land of the dead, the house after the family make it a monstrosity and you can also shrink yourself into the model of the town which was another cool feature. Characters from the movie would give quests and of course, you could play as the infamous Beetlejuice who is full of abilities. You also get to play with the sandworm as part of the fun pack.

LEGO Dimensions Wave 9

The Powerpuff Girls sends you back into the classic Cartoon Network days and I must say I wish Mojo Jojo was a playable character, but luckily you do have to do a quest for him so he is inside the hub world at least. It was really a nostalgic experience more than anything, a step back into the 90s. Each character has unique powers to help you in your quest for the goldbricks and likewise, for the vehicles provided, I always have so much fun building them and playing them. The Teen Titans pack also lives up to the cartoon according to my family, I’ve never watched the original series but it was good fun playing in the world and seeing Robin change into his Teen Titan counterpart. There are three characters with different and unique abilities to play with.

LEGO Dimensions Wave 9

LEGO Dimensions as always has been fun, Wave 9 was no different. Unfortunately, there are some bugs which got a little bit frustrating but TT Games always patch their games to fix them. I leave the review with a question though, is this the last we will see of LEGO Dimensions? There was nothing announced at E3 2017 and there has been no clue on what is coming next, a lot of people are speculating but no news has been announced yet.
