Hell Warders Indie Showcase

Hell Warders developed by Ares Games is a tower defence, action styled game in which you must defend your objective against hordes of demons. By collecting power-ups you must lay your defences around the map strategically and basically survive. Fallout: New Vegas – Project Brazil (Four) Years in the life

Fallout: New Vegas is perhaps the crowning achievement of RPG’s. It seamlessly blended open-world gameplay with a thrilling story (which was almost entirely directed by the player), memorable characters, and a stellar line-up of DLCs. Said DLC’s took the player to many exotic locations which boasted more and more of the player character’s mysterious past, culminating in a battle for the fate of the world. But when hours and hours of beautifully crafted story and gameplay finally come to a close, what is there left to do with Fallout: New…

Video Game World Records

New world records are being set quite regularly, and we find them interesting, particularly those surrounding video games. After a bit of nosing around the ol’ internet, we’ve brought together some of our favourite video game world records, directly from our friends at Guinness World Records. There are a lot of records surrounding marathon plays of games. It’s fun, and there have been times when I’m sure all of us could have competed (see GTA IV, when I ate nothing but pizza for two days because I refused to leave…

The Unique Adventure Demo Impressions

I was lucky enough to get the chance to play The Unique Adventure Demo and do a little review on the demo, this is what I thought. The Unique Adventure is a first-person comedy adventure game in which you star as Bob. A drunk Bob seems to think it would be a fantastic idea to go see his ex-girlfriend. Bob, unfortunately, has an accident and wakes up in a mysterious flat with a voice instructing him what to do. The question remains throughout the demo, are you able to trust…

A Gummy’s Life Early Impressions

The guys at Mana Marketing sent me a copy of A Gummy’s Life on Steam the other day, here’s my take on it. A Gummy’s Life on Steam is currently in early access but offers a really strange yet unique and fun experience. As a physics-based brawler, it attracted my attention as games like these often yield hilarious results. The objective is to beat up the other gummies either online, solo or split screen and avoid the maps hazards. The map will attempt to destroy you as well as everything…

What Happened To Rayman?

Ubisoft several years ago released Rayman Legends on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U and PC and was originally supposed to be a Wii-U Exclusive. Rayman Legends for me was a unique and challenging 2D platformer with stunning visuals and addictive gameplay. My question is, though, why didn’t Ubisoft follow up with a sequel? Let’s travel back to 1995 when the original Rayman was released on the PlayStation 1, PC, DOS, Sega Saturn, Gameboy Advance and most recently on the iOS and Google Play Store. The…

Gran Turismo Sport Beta Footage Looks Photorealistic

A video showing Gran Turismo PlayStation 4 beta gameplay displays a very beautiful and almost life like look at what PlayStations next big racer will feature. The video features below courtesy of GiantSouls:   The player is driving the BMW M6 GT3 at the Nurburgring in Germany for the latest beta. Not many details have been shared on the video above but Polyphonic Studios and Sony have been working to get the title out in 2017. Below is a trailer showing off the many features that will once again bring…

Mass Effect Andromeda And Its Mixed Reception

Mass Effect Andromeda has recently received a very mixed reception since its early access on Ea and Origin Access. The early access look gave subscribers a 10-hour trial and the first few hours of the campaign. The complaints we’ve been hearing is animation issues, voice acting and many bugs. A few examples from player and critic experiences feature below: Rock Paper Shotgun: “The first few hours of Andromeda are a gruesome trudge through the most trite bilge of the previous three games, smeared out in a setting that’s horribly familiar, burdened…

The Wii-U And Why Nintendo Shouldn’t Have Given Up

With the Nintendo Switch now available and Zelda the Breath of the Wild being the last official game from Nintendo to be released on the Wii-U I want to talk about how sad it is that the Wii-U is no more. The Wii-U in my house was bought as a family Christmas present in 2015, it came with the New Super Mario Bros. The classic Super Mario Bros. style has always been a game I’ve  gone back to in the years and had a much different experience and feel to…

Crash Force Developer Session with Ascanio Entertainment

I was lucky enough last night on the 31st of January to sit down with Ascanio Games and play their new title, Crash Force, now available on Steam in Early Access. In the main menu, you are able to choose from a selection of hover tank like vehicles, each with special and unique abilities. Unlike other games with standard abilities like, here’s a forcefield or here is a missile, Crash Force is trying to be different with powers like opening worm holes to revert back to a starter position, or…
